Austin, TX: Global service-based systems integrator, Convergint, hosts the ‘Future of security and life safety solutions’ event. The event brought together some of the brightest and best from the security industry in Central Texas. The goal was to educate integrators about the latest products, trends and technologies. We, along with other partners, discussed how these technologies will shape the future of security, for functions like access control, remote monitoring and digital transformation.
Taking place at K1 Speed: Indoor Kart Racing in Austin, Texas, attendees enjoyed a day filled with insights, networking. And there was a little healthy competition on the race track!
Alongside Convergint, was a range of industry leading technology providers. These partners included Genetec™, AXIS Communications®, ASSA ABLOY, BriefCam, ScanSource®, 2N® and of course, our team.
Local security services providers and integrators had the chance to connect with us and other representatives from Convergint and partners, and ask questions. They learned about how factors such as data protection and storage, emerging cybersecurity trends, and sustainable power options are shaping the future of security.
Our own team presented to the attendees as part of the educational segment. We showcased how our 100% off-grid solar poles are providing a reliable alternative power source for low voltage infrastructure. With PowerStack, this could be devices for CCTV, cellular communications, sensor monitoring and access control, to name a few.
Events like these are essential for us, alongside the larger trade events like ISC and GSX, because it lets local providers really get to grips with what’s new and ask questions directly to the provider.”commented PowerStack’s Global Marketing Director, Jennifer Hancock.
We know that sustainability is a key mandate for a lot of end users now. And that a lot of the time jobs get shut down because the cost of extending power to where you need the infrastructure just isn’t worth it. At events like this, we get to demonstrate how our technology solves both those challenges. And, by appearing alongside the comms and hardware brands that we integrate with, like Axis, like 2N… the integrator or the end user gets to see how it comes together as a full solution, and a sustainable one at that.” she added.
As a global security integrator with a local service approach, Convergint is focused on ‘Shaping sustainable cities with public safety and urban mobility’. It’s one of their key service areas, and there is a core focus on driving the future of security from a sustainable and responsible viewpoint.
PowerStack aligns with that mission, by providing a sustainable power solution that can be deployed in rural and urban environments. Our goal is to help create safer, more connected communities.
The PowerStack USA team was thrilled to be included in the vendor line-up for this event. We look forward to working further with the Convergint team on educational events in the future.
The day was capped off with our own COO, Jeremy Sigmon, taking home the bronze in the racing!
