Austin, Texas: Off-grid vertical solar pole manufacturers, PowerStack, have signed a distribution agreement with Austin-based security services provider, BrightWatch. The pairing will see BrightWatch use PowerStack’s range of 100% grid independent solar power poles, which can be integrated with third party devices like cameras, to create ‘cable-free security solutions’.
BrightWatch is a highly regarded design and implementation provider for the security industry. Based in Texas, they have clients across North America,, working on a range of public and private commercial security projects.
Stocking PowerStack and working as an official distributor for the solar poles is a strategic shift for BrightWatch, marking a dynamic move into supply alongside design and implementation.

The move into distribution aligns with BrightWatch’s highly consultative approach, enabling them to manage end-to-end systems integration and design.
The evolution mutually benefits PowerStack, exposing them to BrightWatch’s wide ranging client base across the states, which covers key industries including education, government, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing.
For BrightWatch and their clients, PowerStack represents an access point into projects where accessing electrical infrastructure is a hurdle, or a sustainability mandate exists. The solar poles create a decentralized ‘micro-grid’, which enables rapid deployment of outdoor powered infrastructure anywhere with relevant sunlight.
Speaking about the addition of PowerStack to their offering, and the opportunities this technology creates, BrightWatch’s CEO, Eric Aronson commented,
“We’re very excited about the distribution agreement with PowerStack. We believe in the product and want to be on the forefront of getting this technology into projects. The ability to deploy security infrastructure and other powered applications without any reliance on the grid is a game-changer. When we found a product that enables that, but also looks good and gives real flexibility and choice to the client, we knew we wanted to be involved. We’re looking forward to working with the PowerStack team to get this technology out into the markets and verticals we serve.” In that way, it’s a real enabler for the kinds of solutions we recommend and we can see it being a huge benefit to businesses when deployed effectively.”
The agreement will see BrightWatch offer a core range of PowerStack solar poles and accessories, with the poles ranging from 3ft/1m bollards up to 25ft/8m structures.
With a project site like a school campus, a manufacturing facility or a power plant, site monitoring, sensors, and communications are often needed to provide enhanced security.
However, what happens when there’s no power where it’s needed? The options to extend grid access may be there, but the cost and time to do so can be exorbitant.
These so-called “dark spots” often get overlooked or left out, because it’s simply not feasible or practical to deploy powered infrastructure there. Especially not within project budgets and timelines. Enter PowerStack.
PowerStack’s unique vertical design and off-grid nature creates what is essentially a micro-grid on one square foot of land. It enables the use of countless security devices in locations with no need to access the grid.
No trenching, no grid access… creating ‘cable-free’ solutions. This frees up much of the expense and time associated with accessing power when compared to traditional grid supply. By offering an efficient and cost-effective alternative, PowerStack brings those previously overlooked areas back on track.

“We’re thrilled to partner with BrightWatch. They really get the product and see the opportunities it creates. Whether that’s a dark spot on a site that just needs power, a project with sustainability requirements, a really remote location with no power access, or a customer looking for the best way to power an outdoor security system - PowerStack is the answer! We can see they’re already being proactive and innovative about the way they educate clients about the technology and its many uses. It's exciting to watch and we can’t wait to work further with the team to bring that expertise to market.”
PowerStack works with a number of channel and distribution partners across the key verticals we serve, in each territory. In the US, we have built a partnership network with distributors, sales reps, and integration partners. For a full list of suppliers for your region, please see our ‘WHERE TO BUY’ Page.
