Home » Solar run security with PowerStack and GSP

North Carolina, USA:
PowerStack continues on its growth trajectory, with the addition of Graham Street Partners as a distribution and integration partner, covering North and South Carolina and nearby southeastern states.
The agreement establishes Graham Street Partners as a regional expert of solar run security solutions and designs, using PowerStack’s award-winning vertical solar poles as the power source.
Graham Street Partners has built its offering around the PowerStack technology, using the unique 4-sided solar poles as a reliable, off-grid power source for wireless security and safety applications. See more about the company here.
The partnership has already proved fruitful, with a number of projects completed and underway across the region.

Graham Street Partners calls on a wealth of experience in designing, integrating, and installing numerous security systems and solutions. The team is now offering the benefits of solar power to those security solutions, enabling new opportunities for customers.
Due to its ease of installation and 100% grid-independent nature, PowerStack overcomes the challenges of accessing power in remote locations or in instances where attaching to existing electrical infrastructure would be cost or time prohibitive.
Similarly, with an increasing number of projects featuring a sustainability mandate, PowerStack is a way for Graham Street Partners to offer a green solution that provides the end user with high ROI over its long design life.
Speaking about the partnership, Graham Street Partner’s president Brad Silvernail commented,
“PowerStack is a truly unique proposition for the security industry. It’s reliable solar that can be deployed anywhere, and it looks great, too. Historically, solar powered infrastructure has required a conspicuous pole-mounted solar panel with a clunky box of batteries and controls that has often made solar projects dead-on-arrival or, if successful, more susceptible to vandalism, weather, and general wear-and-tear. With PowerStack, however, projects are attractive, easy to install, and don’t need any external electrical connection. It makes getting eyes on the ground feasible, especially in difficult places without convenient access to power. We’re excited to work with PowerStack on more projects.”
Due to its highly flexible nature, PowerStack can be integrated with a wide range of brands and devices, to run not only security cameras and surveillance technologies, but also lighting, telecom, IoT sensors, and device charging.
This flexibility gives partners like Graham Street Partners real choice and control over the function and look of deployed infrastructure. To date, the PowerStack poles have been used to deploy solar run security technologies for everything from traffic monitoring and license plate recognition (LPR) reporting, to wildfire monitoring and campus security.
Speaking about the partnership with Graham Street Partners, PowerStack’s Director of Security for the US, John Christian commented,

“Graham Street Partners is a new business focused almost exclusively on PowerStack, born from a team that has been working in the security industry for many years… they’ve pretty much seen and done it all when it comes to security solution integration and design. So we’re really happy to be working with a group of experts that also see the immense opportunities unlocked by PowerStack. We’re excited to be working with them on these projects.”
The partnership between Graham Street Partners and PowerStack was finalized in Q2 of 2024. Customers can now find PowerStack products and technology integrations through Graham Street Partners, including PowerStack units ranging 3ft(1m) bollards up to 25ft(8m) poles for a range of outdoor power applications.
