Austin, USA, Integrated solar pole provider, PowerStack, has confirmed its manufacturer’s representative for West Texas and New Mexico, signing with RKL Sales Corporation for lighting applications.
The agreement will see RKL Sales Corporation, an experienced manufacturer’s representative with over 30 years tenure, rep PowerStack’s off-grid solar poles as a power source for outdoor lighting designs.
RKL Sales specializes in representing brands for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential lighting. A full suite provider, they offer design support and commissioning services and work with clients to source the best product for each project’s requirements.
Speaking about the partnership, PowerStack’s U.S COO, Jeremy Sigmon commented,
“West Texas and New Mexico are some of the sunniest spots in North America, so we’re excited to have a partner that will help us grow into these key solar markets. RKL Sales Corporation has the experience and the right approach to promote PowerStack in the lighting channel, and we’re excited to be actively working with them on projects in the region.
They know lighting, they know solar, and they’re well trusted in outdoor lighting where our technology really stands out as a game changer for public infrastructure and landscape design. So it was an easy decision to partner up with the RKL team.”

Using off-grid solar poles for outdoor lighting has multiple advantages. The obvious one being that with no grid connection there is no ongoing supply cost for the end user, and without reliance on coal-fired power, off-grid solar helps toward Net Zero goals.
Typically, when you are using traditional power supply, you have to factor in the time and cost spent to apply for access. Added to this is the expenses of trenching, cabling, and heavy machinery access for your location, not to mention the disruption to the surrounding communities and the environment.
Off-grid solar like PowerStack removes those barriers. With no reliance on grid supply, you can deliver power for architectural and operational lighting cost-effectively and efficiently. And of course, in areas where there isn’t even the option to extend grid supply because it’s non-existent in your location, PowerStack can enable reliable power for your lighting project.
PowerStack is different to a number of other solar poles in that the pole and the panels are fully integrated, rather than being a bolt-on technology. This design, and the use of shatterproof, glassless panels makes them incredibly hard wearing. A PowerStack pole can withstand winds in excess of 155mph, is vandal resistant, and IK10 impact rated.
The integrated panels also make for a clean aesthetic, which looks at home in both urban and rural surroundings. And because the poles are technology agnostic, lighting designs powered by PowerStack provide excellent flexibility, integrating with a wide range of devices and brands, including those already represented by RKL Sales.
Speaking about the addition of the PowerStack technology to their offering, RKL Sales Corporation’s Principal, Alex Tackman commented,

“PowerStack is a fantastic addition to our line card. The product’s flexibility and clean aesthetic really makes it a stand-out in its class. It’s great that it can be integrated with a wide range of luminaires to create a holistic solution with no reliance on the grid. We know that many projects have dark spots where additional illumination would be really helpful, but it’s often too hard to extend existing electrical infrastructure to that location. PowerStack’s off-grid solar makes deploying power to those locations easy. Let there be light… anywhere the sun shines!”
