Orange City, FL: Advanced security solutions providers, Security Reps, have signed a representation agreement with PowerStack solar. The agreement will see Security Reps promote the award-winning solar poles across the Southeast, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee.
The Security Reps team has more than 20 years experience in the security industry, offering a range of services for professionals including consulting, design, and manufacturers’ representation. They work across solutions for AI, access control, video surveillance and monitoring, and network infrastructure, and partner with best-in-class technology and hardware providers to create robust, future-proof solutions for their clients.
PowerStack are manufacturers of vertically integrated, 100% off-grid solar poles. These power poles can be paired with a wide range of different devices to create ‘grid-independent’ security design solutions, able to be deployed wherever the sun shines.
Brand and technology agnostic, the American-made solar poles offer huge freedom of choice when it comes to security design, and open up locations where accessing grid power is either too difficult or too expensive to be practical.
The agreement will see Security Reps promote a core range of PowerStack systems that start at 3ft/1m bollards and run up to 25ft/8m systems.

In the security design process for a project or site, accessing power is often a key constraint. Even where grid supply is available, it may not be in the location where the client needs monitoring devices, like perimeter CCTV or LiDAR. And the cost and time needed to extend the existing electrical infrastructure can be prohibitive.
PowerStack overcomes that barrier. By creating a ‘micro-grid’, the system can reliably run devices 24/7, without any reliance on external power sources. Plus, with a built-in backup for up to 5 days of inclement weather, PowerStack poles can be used year round. Each system is designed to sustain power loads during winter conditions with the lowest available solar resources in the chosen location.
Some may argue that a standard flat angle solar panel system can do the same thing. The difference between these ‘traditional’ solar systems and PowerStack is that PowerStack is fully integrated and designed for quick deployment.
By using vertical solar panels and an integrated design, the poles are both much sleeker from an aesthetic perspective, and less vulnerable to vandalism or weather damage. There are no bulky external components at ground level to be vandalized, and PowerStack uses a special glassless panel that is shatterproof. Added to this, PowerStack customers often choose the concrete-free foundation for their installations, which quickly and securely anchors the pole to the ground, and means installations can happen in as little as 1 hour per pole, using just handheld power tools.
Speaking about the benefits of having an easily deployable power solution like this, Security Rep’s Chief Executive Officer, David Tonsberg, commented,
"We're truly impressed by the thoughtful, aesthetic, and holistic approach that PowerStack has taken with their solar power pole design! From the sleek finish of the product to how easy it is to install, and its durability and flexibility, everything about it is fantastic. We believe that consulting engineers and city planners alike will find PowerStack to be a valuable tool for achieving CPTED goals in both retrofitting and new security solutions. PowerStack has tackled many of the common challenges associated with traditional solar solutions, creating a product that's ready to go in just hours or days—far quicker than the weeks or months it often takes to get power to a site. We can envision so many exciting scenarios where PowerStack can open up new possibilities for our clients, and we can't wait to share this innovative technology with them!"
Outside the practical considerations of accessing power supply, PowerStack is also enabling a sustainable way to deploy infrastructure across multiple applications, without putting additional pressure on the grid.
As our need for energy provision grows, and alongside the desire for more connected spaces and safer remote environments, PowerStack represents a way to run everything from security hardware, to lighting, device charging and network deployment. Without the carbon footprint of extending and running traditional electrical infrastructure.
Speaking about the partnership with Security Reps, PowerStack USA’s director for security channel sales, John Christian commented,

“Security integrators navigate complexities in every job. PowerStack removes power access from their list of design and implementation challenges. We’re excited to have Security Reps on board to bring the simplicity, versatility, and durability of PowerStack into security system designs across the Southeast… a region with lots of usable sunshine.Working with teams like Security Reps is really helping us educate the market, both the integrator and the end user, about how helpful PowerStack can be. As David said, it’s a game changer in situations where you might have a green credential requirement, or just need to get power quickly and easily to a specific spot. We’re really looking forward to working with the team at Security Reps. Their credibility and knowledge in this space is second to none, and we’re confident they’re the perfect partner to represent our security channel in the Southeast.”
PowerStack works with a number of channel and distribution partners across the key verticals we serve, in each territory. In the US, we have built a partnership network with distributors, sales reps, and integration partners. For a full list of suppliers for your region, please see our ‘WHERE TO BUY’ Page.
