Utah, USA, Comprehensive lighting designers and manufacturers’ representative, Build26 have signed an agreement with PowerStack to represent their solar poles for powered outdoor lighting design across Utah and Idaho.
The unique vertical solar poles can be integrated with a number of well-known lighting brands to create sustainably powered outdoor lighting designs and installations, with zero reliance on grid power.
Build26, whose goal is “to provide a more comprehensive and strategic approach to our industry partners in the electrical division 26”, will offer a core range of PowerStack poles. These poles start at 3ft (1m) bollards and go up to 25ft (8m) poles that are available with a number of mounting accessories and arms for different lighting fixtures.
The low voltage solar poles, which do not require any trenching, cabling or utility interconnection, will enable lighting installations without any of the time (and associated specification requirements) needed when dealing with electrical grid supply.
While Build26’s current portfolio often deals with interior and building exterior lighting design, PowerStack will add to their offering for outside architectural and safety lighting for public and commercial spaces.
With an installation that takes less than an hour per pole, and does not require heavy machinery, PowerStack poles can be installed virtually anywhere that receives enough sunlight. This ‘low impact’ installation process and the ongoing green power supply make it an attractive prospect for projects where site disruption is impossible or too expensive or where there is a mandate for sustainability.
Similarly, in projects where there is a desire or a mandate for sustainable design, PowerStack enables a renewable powered lighting solution that doesn’t compromise the aesthetic of a project or space.
