Austin, Texas:
GAIA, a sustainable building consulting firm, is pleased to recommend PowerStack, a vertical solar provider, to support GAIA’s clients in achieving ESG, LEED, and sustainability goals.
GAIA is a sustainable building consulting company that optimizes commercial buildings for high performance. They provide real estate owners, developers, contractors, architects, and capital partners with green building services including building certifications, solar analysis, energy and daylight modeling, commissioning, and ESG strategy.
PowerStack’s 100% off-grid solar poles can be integrated with a large selection of different devices, for applications ranging from CCTV and security monitoring, to ambient and operational lighting, to IoT device deployment and communications.
These applications would form part of a holistic proposal from GAIA, showcasing how their clients could enhance functionality without negatively impacting their carbon footprint.
The collaboration establishes GAIA with the tools and training to be an effective agent for designing and integrating solutions that include PowerStack’s core range of poles, which range from 3ft/1m bollards, up to 25ft/8m systems for off-grid powered infrastructure. The firm is well positioned as an established sustainability consultancy for design and construction teams.

As part of their services, GAIA supports new and existing buildings in becoming highly energy-efficient, resulting in operational savings and increased asset resiliency.
The PowerStack technology slots neatly into projects across all building sectors, enabling GAIA’s clients to deploy devices and infrastructure that create efficiencies and advance sustainability goals.
When speaking about how PowerStack can help with these goals, GAIA’s founder, Ryan McEvoy, commented,
“PowerStack is a great product that can reduce our industrial clients energy consumption by 7-14% while providing site lighting when the grid goes down. The product decreases trenching and site work that can expedite a construction schedule. There are few products that we recommend to our clients and this is one of them. We’re excited to work with Jeremy and the PowerStack team to bring this technology to our clients.”
GAIA consults on diverse building types, including commercial and industrial portfolios, public and education, multifamily, hospitality, retail, and offices. Project experience includes the Google Headquarters in Irvine, CA, Urban Outfitters retail warehouse in Reno, NV, the historic Clark library at UCLA and the Village, a mixed-use apartment and retail building in Santa Monica, CA.
PowerStack’s award winning design takes on many of the restrictions of traditional solar and overcomes them. With vertically integrated solar panels, the poles are very low profile with no external, bulky components. This, added to their modern, clean aesthetic makes them right at home in urban or suburban projects.
They’re also very hardwearing, using shatterproof glassless solar. The poles are designed to withstand weather extremes and are far less vulnerable to animal damage or vandalism when compared to other solar alternatives.
What’s more, the poles are extremely flexible. The 4-sided panels maximize sun capture throughout the day, and the modular design means more panels and batteries can be added where needed. Each system chosen for a project is based on winter sun hours for that location, ensuring that the PowerStack system will provide reliable power throughout the year.
This sleek aesthetic and flexibility, alongside the ability to power myriad devices and brands, makes the system an attractive choice for companies like GAIA.

Speaking about the new relationship with GAIA, PowerStack USA’s COO, Jeremy Sigmon commented,
“GAIA is a perfect partner for our product that helps solve outdoor power with a reliable, attractive, durable, and clean-powered solution. We are a natural fit for their projects and networks. PowerStack removes real and perceived barriers to deploying lighting, security, and smart city technologies, where the answer is both simple and runs on clean energy. We’re thrilled to be working with the GAIA team to enhance the sustainability of the outdoor power portion of any job.”
PowerStack works with a number of channel, referral, and distribution partners across the key verticals we serve, in each territory. In the US, we have built a partnership network with security and lighting distributors and integration partners who work on either a national or territory led basis.
